CLASS REFLECTION

I didn't realize how much information was involved with African Diaspora. What I really enjoyed about this class was the discussion assignments. To read everyone's different intake, feedback and opinions on the many topics that we covered was great. I learned a lot in this class but my favorite was discussing and learning more about the involvement with reparation's. After watching the video about Black Wallstreet and what took place during that era further pushed me for more people to get reparations. The debate that was discussed about reparations was so enlightening, just to see how the younger generations feels about it. Another one of my favorite assignments was the Afro Cuban music. Learning about the group Cimafunks was great. I had never heard of them until this class and I still listen to there music. Exploring the different afro Cuban music was enjoyable. Didn't realize how much was involved wit Cuban music. Afro Cuban music range from Dizzy Gillespie to Pitbull. A range of greatest in Cuban music.
